Glamour

I have never felt so glamourous as when I used to play dress-up with my mother's clothes. There's something wonderful about being a little kid who believes that being elegant and beautiful and mysterious is absolutely accessible to anyone who wears the hat. For some reason, a lot of us forget this when we grow up. Simply and without question, being glamourous is all in your attitude. This is why, I believe, Katherine Hepburn could look so great in rolled-up jeans and a white man's shirt. (Now if I could only remember this, myself, next time I'm feeling too fat or too ordinary or too something...)

Actually, I still feel like that when I dress up, and I'm in my 30's!

Very cute.

I love the refelection...it begs the question: is she seeing herself as she wants to be; as she imagines she is; or as a grown-up. Very nice piece.
